As an entry‑level role within the PMO, the Assistant Project Manager will develop foundational project management capabilities while supporting multiple active programs.

The Automotive Project/Program Management organization is excited to welcome a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support programs across our rapidly expanding Automotive Business Unit. This BU plays a central role in enabling the next generation of advanced automotive systems—spanning high‑speed connectivity, sensing, power, and in‑vehicle experience technologies that are foundational to tomorrow’s Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs).

The team supports several key automotive technology areas, including high‑speed data connectivity solutions such as Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL), a widely adopted in‑vehicle networking technology used across millions of vehicles worldwide.

Description

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with project leaders and cross‑functional engineering teams to help plan, coordinate, and support the execution of automotive development programs.  This role provides an opportunity to develop foundational project management skills, gain hands‑on experience within a fast‑growing automotive organization, and contribute to technologies driving transformational change across the industry.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project planning and control sessions by entering and maintaining project schedule data in project management tools.

  • Assist Project Managers during project control meetings by displaying key project views, updating schedules, and running project management software.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including action items, memorandums, and updated project files/databases.

  • Generate essential project reporting packages—such as Gantt charts, network diagrams, and tabular reports—to communicate status, issues, and responsibilities to project teams and functional managers.

  • Conduct basic project analyses (e.g., critical path, what‑if scenarios, staffing profiles) to support decision‑making and issue resolution.

  • Set up new projects and maintain schedule/data accuracy within ADI’s phase‑gate and NPI processes for corporate deliverables and metrics tracking.

  • Coordinate logistics for planning or training sessions, including space, materials, and other meeting needs.

  • Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts for project management processes, tools, and documentation within the organization.

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Business / Science or equivalent work experience with a technical focus

  • Proficiency with Primavera 6 project management software is highly recommended

  • Confluence and JIRA experience a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $71,989 to $99,006.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
