Reinforcement Engineer (APM Level)

Experience Required: 8-10 years | Level: Assistant Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Design Review & Optimization

• • Review structural drawings and reinforcement details

  • Optimize rebar layouts for constructability and cost efficiency

  • Coordinate with structural consultants on reinforcement modifications

  • Prepare bar bending schedules and cutting lists

• Quality Assurance & Testing

• • Inspect reinforcement installations for conformance to drawings

  • Coordinate rebar testing programs (tensile, bend, chemical analysis)

  • Ensure proper concrete cover and spacing compliance

  • Manage non-conformance issues and corrective actions

• Procurement & Material Management

• • Manage rebar procurement from certified suppliers

  • Oversee material testing and quality certificates

  • Optimize inventory levels and minimize wastage

  • Coordinate with supply chain for timely material delivery

• Team Leadership & Execution

• • Lead reinforcement gangs and bar benders

  • Train workers on proper installation techniques

  • Monitor productivity and cycle times

  • Coordinate with concrete and formwork teams

• Documentation & Compliance

• • Maintain detailed records of material consumption

  • Prepare progress reports and compliance certificates

  • Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies

  • Ensure adherence to IS 1786, IS 13920 standards

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering

• 8-10 years in reinforcement engineering and management

• Strong knowledge of structural design principles

• Experience with high-rise and complex structural systems
