Miami Herbert Business School at the University of Miami is inviting applications for an Educator position at an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice level in the Department of Management starting in the Spring of 2026.
The Department of Management is specifically interested in an individual who has experience as an entrepreneur with a record of distinguished accomplishments. The ideal candidate should be someone who is well connected with other business practitioners, and who would be viewed as a role model for others. Applicants for the position must have a Ph.D. or its equivalent, and candidates should have spent some portion of their career in an academic setting. Published works such as practitioner articles, books, and/or cases are preferred, and teaching experience is strongly desired.
Among the responsibilities are: Teaching 6 assigned courses (18 credits) per academic year; holding office hours and providing additional support for students outside the class time periods; engaging in service activities as assigned by the Department Chair; following the department’s expectations and protocols which will be communicated to you by the Department Chair; and assisting with the department and school’s various entrepreneurial activities. This is not a tenure-earning appointment.
