Position Summary: Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time or part-time faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced, Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Dentist to participate in predoctoral and postdoctoral education. The candidate will contribute to clinical teaching, didactic instruction, curriculum development, and may engage in research and scholarly activities. A strong commitment to academic excellence, patient-centered care, and the advancement of oral health equity is essential.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical pediatric dentistry including treatment of patients under
minimal and moderate sedation.
• Strong instructional and communication skills with experience in academic settings.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and patient populations.
• Familiarity with current technologies and evidence-based practices in periodontology.
• Capacity to contribute to a mission-driven institution committed to health equity.
Education and Experience Required:
• DDS or DMD from a U.S. or Canadian accredited dental school.
• Completion of a CODA-accredited postgraduate program in Pediatric Dentistry.
• Clinical teaching experience at the predoctoral or postdoctoral level.
Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:
• Must be licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Tennessee or be eligible for licensure.
• Must be licensed to administer minimal and moderate sedation in the state of Tennessee or be
eligible for licensure.
• Board certification of eligibility with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
