Job Summary:

Bucknell University is currently looking for our next Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. In this role you will coach skills, techniques, and strategies for maximum athletic performance. In addition, you will analyze player performance to determine an improvement plan for the group and individual players.

Job Duties:

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach


Work Setting/Schedule:

  • Primarily on-campus

  • Must be able to travel with the team for competitions as necessary

  • Requires night and weekend availability 

What You Will Do:

  • Assists with player training, including developing and implementing competitive performance strategies and practices

  • Motivates and encourages players to work hard, analyze their performance, and implement improvements

  • Provides academic guidance and support to players

  • Schedules practices, informs players of the schedule, submits applications for competitions, and collects statistics on player performance

  • Ensures that players, equipment, and facilities are well-prepared and organized

  • Scouts new recruits and collaborates with the head coach to guide prospective student-athletes

  • Assists in making travel arrangements and travels with team to competitions

What You Will Bring:


Required: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Athletic Training, or a related field

  • 2 years of experience coaching or competing in soccer

Preferred, But Not Required

  • Master’s Degree

  • 4 years of experience coaching or competing in soccer

  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
     

Physical Requirements

  • Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises

  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day

Salary Range:

36,640.00-45,800.00

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy. 

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
