[What the role is]

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team to safeguard the environmental and public health of Singapore. You will be part of the Vector Control and Operations Division responsible for planning vector-borne diseases surveillance, prevention, and control programmes. An evidence-based, integrated vector management approach underpins the work that the Division does. You will work alongside internal and external partners to ensure operational effectiveness and safeguard the environmental public health of Singapore.

[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop strategies and review operational processes on vector control operations (with focus on rat and mosquito related projects)
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and NEA Regional Offices to implement operational programmes pertaining to vector control
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of vector control programmes, present findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders where required
  • Prepare tender documents and carry out end to end tender evaluation and contract management including:
    • Track and monitor budget utilisation for the contract, preparing regular reports and forecasts to ensure optimal resource allocation
    • Carry out process review to enhance efficiency of contract management, tapping on common tools such as MS Excel or work with relevant department on system development.
    • Conduct data analysis to shed insights on area of improvement required by contractors.
  • Contribute to training programmes by supporting needs assessment, developing curriculum/content design, and assisting in post-training evaluation to ensure effective learning outcomes from various internal/external stakeholder groups
  • Any other duties with regard to Vector Control work
