ABOUT PROCUREMENT
Part of the Global Business Operation family, Procurement is responsible for over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers, over half of them in MBS. Getting the right services and materials, sustainably sourced and ensuring responsible procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. Our teams work closely with the business to understand stakeholders needs, bring innovation to meet changing consumer, employee and customer needs, and drive financial value for Unilever through competitive buying. We’re at the forefront of digital procurement, bringing new tools and analytics to drive data-based decisions. Job Title: Assistant Manager – Performance Management
Department: Procurement- Business Services
Work Location: Bangalore, India
Key Accountabilities:
• Contract Management
o Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle, including requirement
o Ensure timely execution of contracts and adherence to contractual obligations.
o Serve as the Global Process Owner, accountable for defining, standardizing, and implementing contract management processes across regions.
o Drive operational excellence by managing operational challenges, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, and collaborating closely with portfolio leads and suppliers.
o Coordinating with the Supplier Partners and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
• Vendor Performance & Governance :
o Track vendor performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
o Ensure performance aligns with contractual obligations.
o Ensure timely reporting and dashboards for performance metrics.
o Identify trends, gaps, and risks in vendor delivery.
o Lead initiatives to optimize vendor management processes, enhance automation, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
o Steer Monthly Performance reviews
• Reporting & Analytics
o Provide regular reporting on vendor performance, contract status, and governance metrics.
o Liasing with PaaS PDT/MBS LT team on program level updates
Experience Required:
Qualification/experience
• 6+ years of relevant business experience, with a focus on Contract & Vendor relationship management
• Ability to translate Portfolio strategy into business outcomes via contract management
• Expert in structuring contracts and commercial with suppliers, with strong contract skills and knowledge of contracting and negotiation.
• Understanding of supply market, value chain, and FMCG knowledge.
• Ability to leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance contract management process
General Skills & Competencies
• Ability to work under pressure and in a complex global environment
• Ability to interact with senior stakeholders effectively and efficiently to understand their needs and deliver effective balanced solutions
• Passion for continuous improvement
• Fluent in English, strong verbal and written communication skills, including creation and delivery of effective presentations
