Assistant Manager, Open Science and Research Services

The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) is a dedicated team committed to delivering comprehensive support across the entire student life cycle – from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond the classroom. SASD works collaboratively with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey for all students. 

This role is part of the Open Science and Research Services function with the Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS). The successful candidate will provide research services to support NTU researchers in the monitoring and reporting of their research impact and proactively engage stakeholders to identify opportunities to help NTU research community reap benefits of leveraging open science, research data management and research visibility.

 
Job Responsibilities:
•    Oversee the provision of the university’s article processing charge (APC) services.
•    Manage and enhance data integration and automation for research publications and bibliometric data in research information management systems such as Elsevier Pure.
•    Conduct data analysis and develop visualizations to inform service strategies and communicate research impact. 
•    Design and deliver training and guidance materials for faculty and administrators to maximize effective use of the Research Information Management Systems (RIMS). 
•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to streamline processes, support research data management, and promote best practices in research impact reporting.  

 
Job Requirements:
•    Degree in any discipline. 
•    Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.
•    Experience in the use of AI tools for data storytelling and video editing software will be advantageous. 
•    Service-oriented with effective interpersonal skills to develop good working relations among peers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Organized and detail oriented. 
•    Strong communication skills in customer interactions, and training delivery. 
•    Good time management skills and ability to prioritize work well. 
•    Agile and ability to work under tight deadlines and constraints.
