🧩 Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to lead Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) and Plant Services procurement for our manufacturing facility equipped with extruders and injection molding machines. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical engineering expertise, hands-on experience in industrial procurement, and a strategic approach to vendor and cost management.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
Source and procure MRO items including spare parts, tools, lubricants, and consumables.
Manage procurement of plant services such as equipment maintenance, calibration, and utilities.
Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements with vendors and contractors.
Vendor & Inventory Management:
Maintain optimal inventory levels to support continuous production.
Monitor vendor performance and develop alternate sourcing strategies.
Implement cost control measures and drive supplier development initiatives.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and statutory regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier evaluations.
Support audits and documentation for ISO and other quality systems.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and finance teams to align procurement with operational needs.
Participate in CAPEX planning and support procurement for new equipment and plant upgrades.
🧠 Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/BTech).
5–7 years of experience in MRO and plant services procurement in a manufacturing setup.
Familiarity with extrusion and injection molding machinery and related spare parts.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
