POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Merchandise Intelligence and Operations Assistant Manager bridge analytics and operational excellence to elevate APAC merchandise performance and execution. S/he supports Merchandising strategies by analyzing data, identifying challenges, and creating strategic solutions, while driving cross-functional operations such as APAC Market Week. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative with strong analytical capability and proactive problem-solving skills, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Merchandise Intelligence & Strategic Merchandising Support

  • Identify and solve business problems related to efficiency, strategy, and operations
  • Analyze business performance, customer behavior, and product lifecycle metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and commercial insights
  • Build reporting dashboards with automated, accurate, and consistent outputs
  • Conduct competitive market analysis and seasonal business performance reviews to support strategic decision-making in products, pricing, and seasonal planning
  • Partner with Regional Merchandising, Planning, VM, and Global teams to support seasonal Go-To-Market (GTM) and long-range planning
  • Support cross-regional initiatives such as store clustering, consumer insights, seasonal planning, trend analysis, and on-time delivery tracking

Operational Governance & Budget Management

  • Maintain and improve regional merchandising workflows, templates, and SOPs to strengthen execution consistency
  • Lead merchandising data integrity and collaborate with the Data Management team to resolve discrepancies
  • Oversee the end-to-end Salesmen Sample (SMS) process for the APAC regional office
  • Manage annual SMS budgets and monitor sample utilization, sales, and storage
  • Own forecasting and operational cost control of annual Merchandising Budget in SMS, showroom expenses, T&E

Seasonal Calendar and Market Week Execution

  • Represent Regional Merchandising and partner with IBP and Global teams to drive seasonal GTM calendars
  • Drive APAC seasonal market week to be in line with regional Merchandising strategy, new GTM initiatives, while leading excellence in planning and operations
  • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, and GTM teams to ensure qualitative strategic kickoff and market week

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, merchandise operations, planning, or business analytics (level dependent)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and data visualization tools; knowledge of PLM or ERP systems a plus
  • Strong analytical thinker with the ability to synthesize findings into decision-ready insights
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across a matrixed, cross-functional environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels and functions
  • Fluency in English
