PURPOSE

Group IT implementing Life systems to support Asian countries (including HK, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and China) based on Group systems framework for greenfield countries as standard model.

This position will assume the role to manage Front-end mobile systems new project initiatives and on-going BAU support projects in order to support business growth strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Detailed job responsibilities are,

  • Responsible for managing IT projects throughout its life cycle, including resources planning, budget monitoring, clients’ expectation management, change management, contingency planning, risk assessment and mitigation.

  • Work closely with project manager, vendors, contractors, and project team members for delivering quality projects and services.

  • Manage project development and implementation within budget and time frame

  • Plan with vendor and implement system releases upgrade.

  • Prepare functional specification documents, technical specification document and user manual with the team

  • Work effectively with IT vendors and IT team on systems’ integration works, monitor the quality of system delivery from vendors

  • Assist on executing IT initiatives & strategies, developing best practices adhere to system development standardsOversee the quality of project / systems deliverables.

  • Oversees project risks, identifies, determines and recommends risk mitigation solution on projects and implements as appropriate.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Following KPIs are set,

  • Manage to deliver IT projects to align with business growth strategies (As defined in the annual performance review)

  • Develop and enhance distribution channels mobile systems and digital solutions.

EXTERNAL & INTERNAL CONTACTS

This position needs to,

  • Group Infrastructure Team, Security Teams, Operation Team, Distribution Team

  • Communicate to end-user departments from various supporting countries

  • Communicate with Group IT teams

DECISION MAKING

  • In IT application development & support functions, manage to meet the preset standard per the IT Service Level Agreement (SLA) to support different countries.

  • Resource and timeline management on the projects assigned ;

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent, minimum 9 years' working experience in Information Technology, with at least 4 years at a senior system analyst position, specialized in system development.

  • Strong leadership experience. 

  • Proven track records in managing regional-based Front-end systems, preferably experiences in implementing IT systems/projects to support Asian countries.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Broad understanding of the technology industry, including current and emerging digital solutions.

  • Able to communicate well on both technical and business level, and effectively manage IT development team, users and vendors.

  • Deep appreciation of latest and emerging technologies and practice, such as DevOps, Cloud, Microservice and Mobile development

  • Project experience on Agile Scrum approach

  • Implement automation DevOps tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)

  • Good analytical mind and problem solving skills
