About the Role
This position is responsible for overseeing and guiding the agency’s strategic, financial, and operational planning — ensuring the agency network operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with overall business goals. The role involves budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, data-driven insights, governance, and supporting strategic decision-making for agency operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage agency-wide budgets and project related expenses.
- Monitor and track budget allocations; ensure compliance with financial targets.
- Maintain accurate accrual records and handle financial reporting.
- Calculate, validate, and implement agent commissions, bonuses, and compensation payables/receivables.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity for all analytical outputs.
- Generate regular reports to provide insights into budget utilization, performance, and financial health.
- Collaborate with strategy/planning teams to support development and execution of agency-wide strategies.
- Assist in preparation of financial forecasts and long-term financial planning aligned with strategic goals.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Support ad-hoc projects, campaigns, and reports related to agency strategy & planning, including collaboration with Agency Distribution teams.
- Prepare the monthly business review & quarterly businesses review report for senior management review.
- Develop and maintain data-driven reports and dashboards (e.g. using tools like Power BI) to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for management, summarizing insights, findings, recommendations.
- Lead strategy or planning related projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g. agency distribution, finance, compliance, operations) to gather data, align strategies, and coordinate execution.
- • Communicate insights, recommendations, and strategy updates effectively to stakeholders and management.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field.
- LCCI Level II or ACCA or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in strategic planning or management.
- Experience in financial analysis and control roles within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance industry financial practices and regulations preferred
- Solid experience as a data cruncher with proficient skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Attention to detail, high accuracy, and strong data governance mindset.
- Proficiency in other data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI & Tableau.
