Job Summary

• This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of cost-effective and standardized IT solutions across multiple business entities as well as engaging in large-scale IT projects. The role actively participates in major IT initiatives, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and integration of business and regional perspectives. The role initiates and cultivates relationships with influential decision-makers at the highest levels and key tactical leaders, advocating for IT best practices, and shaping strategic business planning with a pronounced IT influence. The role also provides mentorship to lower-level employees and ensures the realization of operational and strategic plans.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities where IT can deliver cost-effective, standardized solutions to cater to the needs of multiple business, function, or geography entities.

• Leverages extensive domain-specific business acumen to propel engagement in large-scale IT undertakings.

• Participates in major IT projects, ensuring business and regional stakeholders are effectively communicated with and integrated.

• Initiates and nurtures relationships with influential decision-makers positioned at the highest levels of the business, function, geography, or organization, alongside key tactical leaders.

• Recognizes the demand for new IT processes and substantial enhancements to major IT processes and spearheads their development and implementation.

• Communicates project status to stakeholders, ensuring risks are identified and mitigation plans are in place.

• Advocates for the proliferation of best practices developed from interactions between businesses, functions, or geographies and other counterparts.

• Engages in strategic business planning where IT's influence is pronounced and shapes the overarching business strategies of customer organizations.

• Contributes innovative ideas and may lead large cross-functional teams, exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business

• Provides mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees, thus ensuring the realization of operational and strategic plans.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP S4, Workiva, and other financial systems.
  • Proficiency in ODW/Webi reporting system
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Power Point
  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance, US GAAP, and regional statutory requirements.
  • Expertise in finance system architecture and end-to-end process flows
  • Proficiency in Balance Carry Forward processes and related accounting practices
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries, with specialized expertise in FBB1 transactions
  • Strong knowledge of HP’s revaluation accounting processes and related policies
  • In-depth understanding of S4 exchange rate flows and their application across financial processes
  • Expert-level knowledge of the end-to-end consolidation process and flow using SAP BPC
  • Strong knowledge of HP´s Global Cost Allocation process

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 8–10 years in accounting or finance operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in General Ledger and Management Reporting processes.

What types of tools, software, hardware:

Proficiency in SAP S4, Workiva, ODW/Webi and related financial systems

Proficiency in MS Excel, Access

Education, certifications, and areas of studies: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
