Job Description Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the overall management of cleaning operations by overseeing daily site operations, supervising staff, ensuring service quality, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role works closely with the Operations Manager / Cleaning Manager to ensure operational efficiency, compliance with standards, and customer satisfaction.

About You.
Operations & Service Delivery
- Assist in managing and overseeing day-to-day cleaning operations across assigned sites.
- Ensure cleaning services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, company standards, and client expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor cleanliness, safety, and service quality.
- Coordinate manpower deployment, work schedules, and coverage to ensure adequate staffing at all times.
- Support night spot checks and ad-hoc inspections when required.
Staff Supervision & Management
- Supervise cleaning supervisors and frontline staff to ensure productivity and discipline.
- Assist in staff onboarding, training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Address staff-related issues such as attendance, performance gaps, and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure staff comply with safety regulations, SOPs, and workplace guidelines.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs and address feedback or service issues promptly.
- Support client meetings, service reviews, and follow-ups on corrective actions.
- Assist in resolving operational complaints and ensuring timely service recovery.
Inventory, Equipment & Cost Control
- Monitor and control the usage of cleaning consumables, chemicals, and equipment.
- Assist in inventory planning, stock replenishment, and budget control to minimize wastage.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviceable.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, workplace safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Support implementation of safe work practices and risk assessments at work sites.
- Assist in incident reporting and follow-up actions when required.
Administrative & Management Support
- Assist the Operations Manager / Cleaning Manager with reporting, documentation, and operational planning.
- Support manpower planning, leave management, and administrative coordination.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in the cleaning services or facilities management industry.
- Experience supervising cleaning staff and managing multiple sites is an advantage.
