Assistant Manager, Brand and Trade Marketing

Toronto Full Time

The role:

Reporting to the Team Lead, Brand & Trade Marketing, the Assistant Manager will support the development and implementation of essential projects aimed at driving growth within our skin and hair care portfolio.

You will have the opportunity to enhance skills in brand management, trade strategies, and shopper marketing. Areas of focus will include product management, digital and influencer marketing, and executing retailer activations. You will also gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization by collaborating with various departments, including global marketing, category insights, finance, sales teams and external agency partners.

This role offers a great benefits package and a salary range of $65,000 - $70,000 plus bonus.

What you will do:

  • Support the Team Lead, Marketing & Trade Strategy, in day-to-day business management to drive portfolio growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, influencer partnerships, public relations, and product sampling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute annual marketing and trade plans including support for new product launches.
  • Coordinate and manage trade and ecommerce creative content, maintain product listing forms, content, copy and images for all Canadian retail accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining internal sales support documents, creating sell sheets and fact sheets, and supporting with ad hoc sales requests (customer presentations, sample orders) and sales materials as needed.
  • Maintain GS1 CANADA data for participating retail partners, acting as the key point of contact, knowledge, and execution corporately.
  • Support team with monthly business reporting to measure performance against key brand KPIs.
  • Attend and actively participate in in-person meetings, field visits and training programs as needed

What you will need:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 1-3 Years experience in related Trade, Digital or Marketing role
  • Experience in the Canadian CPG/FMCG industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) and familiar with Canva
