About the location:

The Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is looking for Assistant Guest Relations Manager, who assists all VIPs and special attention guests’ activities. Manages the staff in Guest Relations, trains and schedules the staff.  Seeks out opportunities for guest-centric experiences in all outlets of the hotel and assists every department in putting processes in place to ensure that these opportunities are executed by all employees to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.


Education
A university degree or equivalent experience required

Experience
Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a department head role required in hospitality, service or luxury industry

Desired Skills
•    Hospitality management degree or similar preferred.
•    Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills and problem solving skills required.
•    Must have solid knowledge of hotel operations, including proficiency in Hotel property management systems required.  Knowledge of Symphony and Opera preferred.
•    Strong supervisory and leadership skills are essential, with an outstanding record of coaching and developing teams.
•    Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
•    Above average communication skills - verbal and written- required. Knowledge of another language(s) preferred.

Eligibility
•    Demonstrated ability to successfully develop someone without direct reporting line 
•    Previously demonstrated success and credibility in providing support on corporate projects, or at another Four Seasons property 

Key Functions
•    Manages the Guest Relations team, trains and schedules the staff (Roster). Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed
•    Coordinates and liaises with various departments to ensure the hotel provides highest level guest experiences
•    Coordinates and manages the day to day operations; ensure the, VIP / applicable guest recognition programs are fully adhered to and running smoothly within the Hotel
•    Prepares management reports. Screens next day and next week’s movements for special instructions to various departments. Inspects VIP and Special Attention guestrooms and ensures readiness for a perfect arrival experience. Meets and greets arriving and departing guests; Provides genuine hospitality and recognition, acts as host/ hostess. Acts as point of contact for in-house guests and local customers; provides individual assistance and accurate information. Keeps management informed of guest and staff related incidents; represents senior management in their absence
•    Maintains a strong network of useful contacts in the service industry. Works with Guest Relations Assistant Managers and Guest Relations Manager on a Global Level to learn from each other’s successes and failures to develop a consistent product company wide
•    Assists with responsibilities in the absence of or due to heavy volume in the areas of the Concierge, Bell Staff, Guest Services and lobby coverage Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
•    Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone. 
•    Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff.  Can answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Core Agent.
•    Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests.
•    Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. 

Key Expectations
•    Regularly communicates with Director of Rooms about practices and/or corporate initiatives and pilot programs.
•    Maintains confidentiality about the development and progress of Housekeeping Management Team.
•    Assures all financial aspects are met while maintaining the best quality.
•    Conducts orientation for new managers and supervisors.

Visa Requirements
Must already possess valid work authorization in South Korea.
