POSITION TITLE: Assistant District Attorney

LOCATION: Pittsburg County (McAlester, OK)

STATUS: Full-Time/Immediate Opening

SALARY: Starting at $60,000, commensurate with experience

BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including insurance allowance, paid sick and annual leave, paid holidays, and longevity.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The 18th Prosecutorial District (Pittsburg and Haskell Counties) is seeking a full-time Assistant District Attorney for the Pittsburg County Office in McAlester, to begin immediately. The McAlester office, at full capacity, is a four-attorney office with 11 support staff. 

Caseload assignments will primarily be general felonies and property crimes, as well as the criminal misdemeanor and traffic dockets, and is subject to change based on caseload and applicant’s interest and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required.  Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school. Admitted and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association; will consider candidates licensed in other states only if willing to relocate.
