Job Description:

The Assistant Director of LSUE Academy and Dual Enrollment will report to the Director of LSUE Academy and is responsible for providing guidance and support for dual enrollment and Academy students at Louisiana State University at Eunice enrolled in courses offered through LSUE. The purpose of this position is to support students holistically by ensuring that best practices in student advising and academic coaching are followed, as well as working as a part of a supportive team in the Dual Enrollment department.

Job Responsibilities:

20% Assists director with the development and implementation of the LSUE Academy and Dual Enrollment. Assists director with the convening of meetings with LSUE staff and district/school staff to ensure successful program integration. Provide all pre-enrollment serves for LSUE Academy and Dual Enrollment
 

25% Serves as a recruiter and a resource for high school guidance counselors to facilitate student enrollment in the LSUE Academy and Dual Enrollment programs. Oversees student support services for LSUE Academy and Dual Enrollment students

20% Assists director in the development and directing the plans and guidelines for the assigned programs and services; investigates appropriate modifications for LSUE Academy programs; develops and maintains programs, activities and services which meet students' academic needs; provides materials, guidance, and direction for teachers, campus staff and parents as appropriate. Visit campuses, provide onsite support and attend meetings as necessary.

30% Advise incoming Academy and Dual Enrollment students in the following ways: assist student in choosing the appropriate program and/or major and scheduling of courses; recommend course or action for student seeking academic guidance, recommend course selection for students based on requirements for high school graduation set by the LDOE. Maintain student advising records; and uphold the policies and procedures of the university.

5% Other Duties as assigned.
 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's

Minimum 5 years secondary education experience

Preferred Qualifications: Master's

Minimum 3 years' experience in high school counseling or administration.

Salary Range: $50.000.00-$55,000.00
