Job Description:

Mount Holyoke College, the first of the legendary Seven Sisters, is a highly selective, gender-diverse women’s college. We are a community of 2,200 ambitious students from nearly every state and over 80 countries. Our mission is simple but profound: we believe women can—and should—make a difference in the world.

To support this mission, our Office of Admission processes over 5,500 applications annually to welcome a diverse, groundbreaking class of future leaders. We are seeking an Assistant Director of Admission Operations to lead the technical and human systems that make this recruitment possible.

The Assistant Director is the backbone of our operational success. You will bridge the gap between high-level recruitment strategy and the meticulous execution of data management. This role is designed for a professional who thrives on optimizing workflows, leading a team, and ensuring the absolute integrity of our applicant lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Admission Coordinator team. This includes leading hiring searches, designing training protocols for new staff, and managing schedules (including hybrid work arrangements) to ensure seamless coverage for events and our lobby.

  • Oversee the "life cycle" of an application—from processing and integrity checks to managing deferrals, deposits, and extension requests. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation.

  • Act as a power user of our systems. You will troubleshoot application imports from third-party sources, build custom queries and reports, and ensure our data remains accurate and actionable.

  • Partner directly with the Dean of Admission to support high-level recruitment travel, including material requests, expense processing, and CRM calendar management.

  • Serve as a professional point of contact for students, parents, and school counselors regarding application materials and recruitment logistics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with high accuracy while maintaining a big-picture perspective.

  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a drive to continuously innovate and streamline operational practices.

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse constituents and providing clear training/feedback to staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing or leading a team.

  • Familiarity with Technolutions Slate CRM is highly desirable.
