Note: Must be able to respond to assigned operations complex within 60 minutes
This position is responsible for part and material handling (to include: inventoried, non-inventoried, and specialty parts; personal protective equipment, tools, chemicals, etc.) for Duke Energy Fleet Services. Overall inventory handling for designated storerooms (to include: physical organization, cleanliness, and maintenance). The position requires a working knowledge of safety, chemical, and quality control practices and applies them accordingly. The ACST is also tasked with administrative responsibilities as related to the role.
Responsibilities and Duties
Physical part and material handling. (Inventory organization, storage, and monitoring. Bin relocations, order picking (where applicable), courier services (by request), etc.).
Administrative responsibilities. (Physical record maintenance, invoice processing and expense reconciliation, special request/event support, etc.).
Overall engagement. (On/off-site meetings – internal/external, supplier/servicer observations (where applicable), committee participation (where designated), etc.).
Basic/Required Qualifications
High School Diploma, General Education Degree
Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
Warehousing knowledge
Knowledge of computer operating systems and software suites
Ability to meet objectives and operational standards with limited supervision
Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication
Demonstrated ability to provide quality work within restrictive timetables
Working Conditions
Primary work is performed in an indoor environment that may not have access to heat/air conditioning, with prolonged standing.
Secondary work is performed in an office environment, with prolonged sitting.
May be exposed to distracting sounds or noise levels.
Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs a distance of at least 25 feet
Repeated bending and twisting is required
Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility.
Specific Requirement
Residency Requirement - This position has a residency requirement of living within 60 minutes of the assigned operations complex.
