The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Women’s Soccer Coach in the overall coordination and execution of the University of Louisville’s Division I intercollegiate Women’s Soccer program, including identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, coaching, and promoting an atmosphere of compliance within the program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coaching; develop skills of student-athletes, assist in preparing practice plans, and implement practice plans.
Training, mentoring, and developing elite student athletes.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Organize, prepare, and conduct individual and team practice sessions to train and prepare for competition and instruct student-athletes in techniques of the sport.
Post-game analysis (individual and team).
Opposition analysis.
Working knowledge of video editing software, including but not limited to Spiideo and Wyscout.
Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program through strict adherence to NCAA, ACC, and university rules and regulations through monitoring of program activities, active involvement, and commitment to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and immediate reporting of any knowledge of potential rules violation involving self or others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience playing soccer at a collegiate and/or professional level.
USSF and/or UEFA B License or higher.
Recruiting coordinator experience at NCAA Division 1 level.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
