Job Description
Instructs and teaches athletes in fundamentals of basketball, coaches technique and strategy. Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, equipment. Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services, ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's desired. Prior coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of women's basketball at the intercollegiate level required. Ability to travel extensively during recruiting process required. Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations; experience working with a diverse population required.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
