The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Northeastern University offers minors, a Bachelor of Science, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP). The MS-SLP program is offered on the Boston and Charlotte campuses and is a 60-credit ASHA accredited degree program.

About the Opportunity

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the Bouvé College of Health Sciences is seeking one (1) Assistant Clinical Professor and one (1) Associate Clinical Professor for 52-week full-time non-tenure track faculty positions for the graduate and undergraduate programs in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

Teaching and advising responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

teaching courses for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, supervising students during the delivery of clinical services, including reviewing of documentation, debriefings, and ongoing meetings; participating in assigned University, College, and Departmental committees and related Departmental activities; participating in professional organization activities and conferences.

Qualifications

  • PhD, EdD, ScD and/or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology by appointment start date; PhD or EdD preferred

  • ASHA Certification by appointment start date

  • Massachusetts State License by appointment start date.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years' clinical experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience providing clinical supervision

  • Teaching experience in higher education preferred

  • Leadership experience preferred

Teaching statement: Please summarize your past instructional and mentorship experiences, your pedagogical philosophy, your plans/goals for teaching in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences (including existing and proposed courses), and your strategies for teaching and mentoring a global population of both undergraduate and graduate students.

Pay Range:

52-week Salary Ranges: Assistant Clinical Professor: $89,000.00 - $118,000.00 | Associate Clinical Professor: $108,000.00 - $154,000.00

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
