There is now a unique opportunity to join Maersk as an Assistant Category Manager. You will join the Indirect Category Management Travel team, where you will play an active role in procuring a range of travel categories spanning across Global Hotels, Meetings & Events, Car Hire, and Travel Management companies to name a few.

You will be a part of a Global Procurement team working closely with stakeholders across all departments and geographies and liaising with travel suppliers globally.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover with a contract end date of 31 December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
You will have significant responsibility from the start and are expected to execute and deliver with a great sense of detail. Your main responsibilities include:
Analyzing travel spend patterns to identify cost drivers and optimization opportunities
Creating and maintaining dashboards for internal stakeholders and leadership
Supporting strategic decision-making through data insights and stakeholder feedback
Executing tenders and projects independently or in collaboration with the team
Providing operational support and ad-hoc assistance to internal stakeholders
Your qualifications, experience, and skills
You are a curious and analytical professional who can transform data into actionable insights while thriving in a global, fast-paced environment. A motivated self-starter, you also come with a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to succeed.
Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop innovative methodologies that lead to actionable results
Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis, and proficiency in PowerPoint and Power BI to create clear, impactful presentations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
Strong interest in the travel industry; prior experience in airlines, hotels, or travel management is an advantage
Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability to change, and a service-oriented approach
International outlook and confidence in spoken and written English, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders
