JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Capability Manager (ACM) is a strategic enabler of capability building and transformation across the Sales / Customer Development ecosystem. This role is docked into the CD Transformation and Capability team and works closely with Sales leadership, field teams, and external partners to uplift frontline and head office capabilities through targeted interventions, specialized trainings, and change management initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Build and maintain a capability calendar aligned with business priorities.
  • Develop training content and toolkits in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate workshops, bootcamps, and virtual learning sessions.
  • Manage relationships with external learning partners and academic institutions.
  • Support zonal teams in executing capability and transformation plans.
  • Track progress of change initiatives and report on adoption metrics.
  • Identify and escalate capability or process gaps to central teams for resolution.
  • Ensure alignment of all capability efforts with CD Excellence and Transformation agendas.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of sales operations and frontline realities.
  • Experience in training design, facilitation, and capability development.
  • Exposure to modern trade dynamics and category management.

Skills

  • Familiarity with change management frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Specialized Skill Development:
  • Lead the creation of advanced training modules on key sales competencies such as: Negotiation for Modern Trade, Category Building and Design Thinking for Sales Strategy
  • Collaborate with industry experts, leading universities, and training partners to co-create and deliver high-impact learning experiences.
  • Transformation & Change Management: Act as a change agent for transformation projects across the sales ecosystem. Drive adoption of new ways of working, digital tools, and process redesigns both at Head Office and in the field. Ensure alignment with broader CD transformation goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with zonal and regional teams to identify capability gaps, gather feedback, and co-create solutions. Serve as the bridge between field realities and head office strategy.
  • Performance & Impact Tracking: Monitor training effectiveness and transformation KPIs. Use data-driven insights to refine programs and ensure continuous improvement.
