We’re looking for an Asset Technician to support the effective management of our asset portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to gain hands-on experience and deepen their knowledge in asset management, working alongside a collaborative team committed to excellence. In this role, you’ll maintain accurate asset data, assist with lifecycle planning, and ensure compliance with standards—contributing to safe, reliable infrastructure for communities across Aotearoa.
Key responsibilities:
• Maintain and update asset information in our systems
• Support asset inspections and condition assessments
• Assist with planning and reporting for asset lifecycle management
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors

You’re someone with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You’ll thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working on projects that make a real impact. In addition, you’ll bring:
Experience in asset management or related technical field
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
Knowledge of infrastructure assets or transport systems
Familiarity with asset management systems and reporting tools
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public service.
