Begin your career journey in Client Group and Product: Join M&G’s Eight-Week Summer Internship
Join us on 22 June 2026 for an eight week internship to gain hands-on experience, develop technical and professional skills, and build a strong understanding of our Sales, Client Group Strategy and Operations, and Product teams within Asset Management.
Your journey will start with a cohort-wide induction, with focused insight sessions to help you learn more about M&G, network with colleagues, and begin developing your professional skills. You will take part in a structured programme, including:
Team Placement: Join one team for eight weeks where you will take on meaningful work, contribute to live projects, and shadow experienced colleagues to gain a solid understanding of Global Distribution & Products.
Group Project: An opportunity to collaborate with your peers on a business project, developing teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Professional Development: Take part in interactive learning sessions and networking opportunities designed to grow your expertise and build your professional network.
Support Network: Regular check-ins with the Early Careers Team, your manager, and a buddy will ensure you have all the support you need during the programme.
This internship is your first step toward a career in Client Facing roles or Product Development. At the end of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for our Graduate programme starting in September 2027.
What will you be doing?
As part of our global Client Group and Product functions, you’ll gain hands-on experience across one of our teams: Sales, Client Group Strategy and Operations, and Product teams. Interns at M&G make valuable contributions to the teams they work in, and could be involved in:
Sales: You’ll work on projects that explore new and evolving sales channels, conduct research into under-penetrated markets, and provide business development support to sales directors. You’ll also assist in bringing new products to market, learn how the sales process works across different channels.
Client Group Strategy and Operations: you’ll get to see the workings of the Client Group function on a day to day basis, as well as gaining exposure to key industry trends and developments. Your role in this team will likely include distribution strategy projects (e.g., research and analysis to inform recommendations on strategic topics such as geographical expansion and targeting specific sales channels) and working with the sales management team to analyse sales and client trends. Additionally, you may assist in developing tools to streamline internal processes and deliver enhanced insights, and helping the Client Group adopt AI to improve productivity.
Product: You will assist in designing new funds, focusing on both structural and technical aspects, as well as conducting competitor research. Your role may also involve product management work, such as modifying liquidity terms, incentive fee structures, and legal documentation.
