The Lender Finance Europe (LF EU) team is a market leading principal origination and financing business within Global Financing and Credit Trading (“GFCT”), providing highly bespoke and structured financing solutions to private credit funds and other alternative capital providers across Europe. The desk provides leverage to Private Credit funds that originate pools of middle market and syndicated loans. Deutsche Bank is an established player within this space since 2007 and has one of the biggest balance sheets dedicated to the business.
The Lender Finance business has grown significantly in the last couple of years to a commitment of plus €8 billion. In this role you will develop the portfolio management of the LF EU facility collateral portfolio along with developing relationships with LF EU clients and supporting them with the day-to-day management of transactions.

Your key responsibilities
- Managing the waiver requests and revaluation in direct interaction with clients, finding the right balance between a commercial and risk view
- Ensuring early detection of challenged credits in the portfolio and determining adequate valuations
- Managing the quarterly review process and ensuring timely annual reviews
- Managing relationships with internal stakeholders, and co-ordinating the planning of work of colleagues, delegating as appropriate. May be required to supervise the day-to-day activities of team members and to train them to support their development
Your skills and experience
- Professional previous experience required with expert understanding of all types of risks involved within portfolio management (eg credit, operational, compliance, legal, regulatory and reputational risks)
- Specific credit skills to analyse financial data from corporates and form credit views on a broad range of different types of companies
- Advanced understanding of the private debt market
- Ability to extract insight and build large data sets from abstract information sources
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts and provide specialist guidance and advice to others
