Job Description

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our global reinsurance business on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC).

This role covers mainly finance transformation initiatives (Project Unify) supporting the ongoing modernisation of FP&A processes, systems and management information (MI), including development and enhancement of MI reports. Some core FP&A business-as-usual activities may be required to be supported.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy, with the expectation that the individual can independently translate high‑level objectives into tangible reporting and process improvements.

This is a hands on role that requires strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across FP&A and Project Unify. Understanding the finance transformation changes and the ability to translate these info clear and fit-for-purpose MI reporting outputs, and communicate this understanding with colleagues of differing expertise will be an asset in this role.

Proficiency in Power BI and/or Workiva development and experience working on a finance transformation project would be beneficial.

This position does not carry formal people-management responsibility but plays a key role in influencing outcomes through insight, analysis and effective business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Transformation

  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives aimed at standardising and improving FP&A processes, systems and reporting.
  • Contribute to development of standardised management information and reporting using tools such as PowerBI and Workiva based on data extracted from various reporting systems.
  • Support implementation of new planning, forecasting and expense management tools and processes, including requirements definition and testing.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Insight (BAU)

  • Support the preparation and delivery of planning and forecasting outputs that provide transparency into performance, risks, and opportunities for senior FP&A leaders and business stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Professional accounting designation (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred, with typically 3+ years of relevant post‑qualification experience in FP&A, financial analysis or a related finance role.
  • Experience working with planning systems and analysis tools, including hands‑on data extraction and management.
  • Hands‑on experience designing, building, or enhancing new finance processes and/or management information reports or dashboard.
  • Strong independent thinking, problem‑solving skills, and have the confidence to challenge existing approaches to deliver practical and fit‑for‑purpose outcomes.
  • Strong accounting knowledge combined with advanced financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • Strong communication skills across different disciplines and levels of seniority within the organisation.
  • Strong analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience contributing to finance transformation projects is preferred, with the ability to clearly communicate changes to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating with high degree of autonomy in a fast‑evolving environment with imperfect information and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and/or Workiva report development is beneficial.
