UQ manages a large and complex infrastructure portfolio across multiple campuses, supporting world-class teaching, research and student life. This role provides independent assurance by verifying contractor performance and asset condition across a broad portfolio of hard and soft services, helping protect safety, compliance and value for money across laboratories, teaching spaces and critical infrastructure. You will work in a collaborative, field-based and office-based environment, partnering closely with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure asset data and service delivery standards are accurate, current and reliable.
Key responsibilities will include:

Planning and undertaking infrastructure inspections and, under direction, completing asset condition assessments.
Auditing contractor service delivery across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, civil and cleaning contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, scope and specifications.
Preparing clear audit reports, discussing findings with contractors and contract management teams, and providing technical guidance where works or testing do not meet required standards.
You will bring a practical, analytical and purposeful mindset, with the confidence to engage on site and the discipline to maintain high-quality data and documentation. You will also demonstrate:
Completion of a relevant trade qualification with subsequent industry experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Exposure to asset inspections, condition assessments or maintenance auditing within infrastructure or building environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate, reliable asset information.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and working within maintenance or asset management systems.
The ability to work across multiple campus locations and undertake physical site inspections.
Well-developed communication skills to engage constructively with contractors and internal stakeholders.
A proactive approach to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
A willingness to learn, with training provided where required.
