KBR’s Science and Space division is seeking an Assembly, Integration and Test Engineer to support the Axiom’s Exploration Extravehicular Activity Services contract to build the next generation space suit going back to moon as a part of the Artemis program.

Assembly, Integration and Test Engineers are responsible for working with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to ensure flight hardware is assembled correctly, integrated safely, and tested thoroughly against project requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports for functional, environmental, and qualification testing
  • Support hardware/software integration and troubleshoot issues during lab and system-level testing
  • Verify requirements, document results, and support test readiness and formal review activities
  • Develop and follow assembly procedures, test procedures, and work instructions
  • Document test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in accordance with program requirements
  • Maintain configuration control, work instructions, and technical documentation
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous process improvement
  • Analyze production and testing data to identify trends, risks, or improvement opportunities
  • Support hardware handling, ground support equipment (GSE), and cleanroom operations as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Requirements:
    • Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs, environmental chambers)
    • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
    • Ability to work in lab, cleanroom, and manufacturing environments
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
  • Years of Experience: 2+ of related experience preferred

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience supporting spacecraft, launch vehicle, avionics, or propulsion systems
  • Familiarity with NASA, DoD, or commercial space program standards
