The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Assembler Team Lead to join the Critical Response Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift!
The team lead will be performing advanced, specialized or prototype production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies and subassemblies using automated assembly operations as well as providing assembly operation guidance to other assemblers.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools
Build effective resource plans
Identifies and communicates risks to the First Line Leader
Updates and communicates BPS metrics
Identify KPI improvement actions
Assigns daily work
Leads team in daily safety check-in
Monitors and reports daily progress to plan
Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk
Documents and communications shift turnover
Establishes overtime requirements and staffing
Monitor and control of 5S
Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues
Create standardized work instructions
Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training
Responsible for BPS process improvements, will lead Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks
Exhibits Boeing Behaviors
Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job
The Team Lead possesses comprehensive knowledge of the entire building process, including structures, systems, wiring, and automation
Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex technical issues, ensuring seamless integration from the start of the process to final delivery
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive defect reduction and quality improvement initiatives, such as leading RSPS (Root Cause Problem Solving), VSM (Value Stream Mapping), and AIW (Accelerated Improvement Workshops)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or fabrication
3+ years of formal or informal leadership experience
3+ years of experience with production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassembly and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools
1+ years of experience with Velocity and additional 787 production applications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools
3+ years of comprehensive knowledge of the entire building process, including structures, systems, wiring, and automation
3+ years of experience in a lead role as either a team-builder or a team-leader
