GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for an Assembler I to join our Production Team!
As an Assembler I, you will be expected to perform electrical and mechanical assembly of units which includes limited troubleshooting, testing and preparing units for shipment in a Lean Six Sigma environment. Elementary Specialization. Semi-Skilled – Sufficient understanding of simpler operating or office routines applied at the novice or elementary journeyman level. May entail use of simple equipment, machines or minimal operation of more complex equipment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Standard Compressor Packages
CNC Plasma Cutting Equipment and Quickmill Machining Center
Performs all operations to required specifications and budgets.
Performs required programming
Loads raw materials
Unloads cut parts, deburr as necessary
Performs routine daily maintenance
Performs other duties as assigned
Your Profile / Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
Certified Vocational Degrees Preferred
Minimum Experience: Vocation Training or Less than 2 related assembly experience
Basic math skills
Comprehension of safety rules
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Sit, stand, reach, walk for periods of time on concrete surface.
Ability to lift / carry 50 lbs.
Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and or machinery.
May be required to work extended hours which may include weekends and holidays.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $21.00 - $26.00 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
