Job Description
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and oversees exhibitions across Western Nevada College’s three Carson galleries and provides guidance for the Fallon campus gallery management
Supports the College’s mission by fostering community engagement, coordinating multiple professional and student art shows throughout the year, and creating educational opportunities
This role balances curatorial planning, operations, and community engagement to ensure high-quality, diverse exhibitions that serve both the campus and broader community
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Art, Art History, Museum Studies, Arts Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education plus two years of related professional experience in a gallery, museum, or arts administration, including curation, exhibition planning, and events management. Experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree (i.e., AA plus 3 years related professional experience)
Experience in planning and overseeing budgets and/or resources
Compensation:
$30-$50 per hour
