Studio Z, Zillow’s in-house creative agency, is seeking a mid-level Art Director to help shape the next evolution of our brand. We operate at the high-stakes intersection of elite-level design craft and rapid-response social trends.

About the role

This role will lead visual concepting and art direction on defined projects while contributing to large-scale integrated campaigns. You’ll focus on conceptualizing work that resonates emotionally and culturally, ensuring Zillow’s creative output is ahead of the curve. You’ll partner closely with Senior Art Directors and Creative Directors to translate business strategy into intuitive, high-quality experiences that serve millions of customers.

You’ll get to:

  • Concept and art direct integrated campaigns, partnerships, and activations across multiple digital and physical touchpoints.

  • Deliver high-fidelity, world-class design and art direction that elevates the craft of the entire Studio Z team.

  • Systematically implement Generative AI tools to accelerate ideation and scale high-quality creative output.

  • Design and art direct "social architecture" that feels organic to a feed while maintaining the premium soul of the brand.

  • Actively monitor shifts in human behaviours, music, sports, fashion, and tech to ensure our work remains culturally resonant.

  • Present your creative rationale in formal reviews, articulating how your work bridges human truth and cultural momentum.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in art direction or design at a top studio, agency, or elite in-house team.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading integrated campaigns and brand initiatives.

  • Experience collaborating on and supporting professional photo and video shoots.

  • Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud is required.

  • Mastery of Generative AI tools for creative workflows is required.

  • While this is a remote role, it will require some travel for in-person gatherings and work sessions.
