Heritage Pool Supply, is actively seeking a self-motivated, customer service-oriented individual that is a team player and a leader as a Area Sales Manager.

Sales Performance

  • Drive the sales vision of the District, Region and SRS Distribution and play an active role in the annual planning process for sales budgets and goals. 

  • Work closely with and utilize National Account, Commercial Services, Marketing and Sales/Process Methodology teams.

  • Understand your markets and expand the customer base accordingly; always look for creative ways to grow market share.  Play an active role with TMs in generating new business from existing accounts and from new accounts.

  • Utilize lead generation tools-assign and follow-up on all leads assigned to TMs.

  • Routinely develop target lists with assigned actions to TMs, follow-up timely and hold TMs accountable for results.

  • Coordinate and participate in sales blitzes, sales contests and competitions, drive competitive spirit among TMs.

  • Working with RVPs, develop relationships with supplier partners to leverage volume and maximize buying power as a tool to drive additional sales.

  • Drive sales growth utilizing tools available through credit reviews for "lost sheep" and problem accounts, accounts with credit line bandwidth—watch the inactive customer lists—maintain a strong working relationship with the credit team and communicate frequently.

  • Account assignments or realignments for TMs as approved by RVP in the region.

  • Implement SAT selling program throughout the sales organization. (Calendar & Account Management, Suspect, Prospect & Customer Flow Reporting & Mobile Capabilities

Coaching, Mentoring, Training

  • Develop standard formats for weekly branch sales meetings managing, reviewing and participating in content and meetings actions. 

  • Take the lead on upgrading and attracting new TM talent to your sales team and on board all new TMs providing all necessary tools to be successful.

  • Train, mentor and coach all TMs, actively participate in TM ride-a-longs/joint calls and observe TM actions with customers and prospects—listen and observe cold calling techniques and prospecting skills. Maintain an active mentor/mentee relationship with all TMs.

  • Take the sales lead on all new Greenfields – aid in recruiting top talent, create sales plans and assist with market development, organize sales blitz.

  • Plan & host regular TM training and sales professional development meetings with TMs and continually convey new sales techniques, strategies and opportunities.

  • Convey and mentor TMs to understand the Heritage story and the strength of the company, logistics capabilities/service levels and product knowledge to instill confidence and enhance skills.

Pricing and Margin

  • Lead all pricing initiatives with sales teams with a strong focus on improving selling margins overall—always look for creative ways to improve customer profitability.

  • Utilize monthly sales and marketing product promotions as opportunities for improving profitability and increasing sales of focused products.
