Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADERSHIP
Ensure and promote Servant Leadership Practice and live out leadership style among ADP team members
- Good dealing and communicating with all people such as program staffs, community people and stakeholders.
- Listen to community and staffs to find solutions and make decision as per standards and policies.
- Regular meetings, mentoring and coaching to staff.
- Give respect to colleagues and people, demonstrate servant leadership model.
- Seeking the best ways to organize and pursue program staffs and people for their active participation through negotiation/motivation and need base advocacy approach.
- Enhancing spiritual foundation of staff and build effective coordination with all cross functional teams.
CAPACITY BUILDING
Ensure the capacity and competency of ADP team members to properly engagement of program's requirements according to ADP Design
- Community need based LEAP aligned Technical Program (TPs) are selected properly.
- Proper baseline survey conducted and set up proper indicators for the whole ADP design with the support of technical department and MEAL team.
- Allocating and assigning staffs and their associate duties/responsibilities.
- Ensure staffs have been trained Core Project Models/related training and then trained to community volunteer groups and CBOs trainings.
- Provide ongoing caring, encouragement, coaching and leadership in developing staff capacity according to the requirement of organization and individual staff development.
- Staffs are motivated and attempt for learning opportunities and/or engaged in practice for additional skills.
COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT
Focus the ministry for Greater Impact on Local Partnering and build effective coordination with all cross functional teams
- Ensure regular capacity building program for community groups and CBOs through training sessions and provide on job training.
- Mobilizing the counter parts and stakeholders to aware their community needs and based on the needs they were advocated to participate.
- Ensure planned strategies are initially functioning by community groups.
- Strengthening and empowering the participation of community and stakeholders for sustainable development including Township Level CBO (CSO, Apex Body, Development Network, etc.)
- Ensure CBOs/Groups are come up with their own initiate long term development plan including community development fund raising program.
- Ongoing coaching and encouraging for CDVs and community groups members.
- Community are prepared for any disaster risks.
- Ensure children are cared for, protected, and participated in development interventions.
- Strengthen and maintain good relationship with respective counterparts and agencies.
- Collaborate with our counterparts in addressing community and children' societies' basic needs.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS RELATIONSHIPS
Ensure to be a smooth program operating and meet targets by complying the organizational policies, guidelines and frameworks accordingly
- Establish the effective partnering mechanism with the Authorities, MOU counterpart department and INGOs/LNGOs for getting support and coordination for broader impact.
- Each program staff and program related agencies including volunteers, CBOs and partners are clearly understood and aware on program design and approach according to level of involvement.
- Each program staff and our counterparts, agencies are clearly understood on organization's policies and guideline according to their respective role.
- CBOs/Groups have proper and appropriate M&E plan with tools.
- Day to day problems solving among community and team.
- Be a connector and negotiator for peace building between respective parties such as CDVs and local authorities, community groups and CDVs.
- Generally ongoing managing staffs, CDVS, local contract staff or Project support staff, community groups, program, office, program related issues and collaboration/coordination issues with respective personnel and departments.
PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION / OPERATIONS
Ensure operational effectiveness for program smoothly running to meet organization requirements
- Organize regular/ irregular, formal, informal coordination meetings among Technical Program team, grant team, respective counterparts and ensure implementation plan regularly.
- Functioning township level coordination mechanism through joint trainings, meeting and events and participation at township level events.
- Lead the team for strategic direction on 2030 promise, country strategy, CWBO, etc.
- Overall leadership to the ADP team and achieving the transformational development
PROGRAM QUALITY
Achievement of quality ministry with accountability
- Proper baseline survey conducted and set up proper indicators for the whole ADP design with the support of Technical team and DME department.
- Accomplishment of planned outputs/ outcomes as per plan of actions
- On time development of Monthly Ministry Update, Semi-Annual and Annual Management Report
- Review monthly financial report and provide analytical variance explanation
- Quality achievement of each micro project through proper monitoring and supervision.
- Each process is implemented with organization policy and guideline accordingly.
- Monthly overall rating of KPI for Sponsorship management is in green status/ Ensure that overall performance of sponsorship management meets the minimum standards.
- Ensure high standard of stewardship in resource mobilization, allocation and utilization.
- Maintain high degree of financial integrity and accountability and ensure that the project adhere to WV International Financial Policies, specific donor agreements and the requirements of the country.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, humanitarian industry, or complex projects or programs are essential
Experience working across departments or regions and proven experience as a servant leadership manner is essential
- University bachelor’s degree in any discipline is essential and bachelor's degree in social studies is preferred
- Preferred master's degree in development/ public administration/ business administration/ policy studies.
Handling program budgets and resource planning is essential
Competent in use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word & Excel is essential
- Excellent planning and organizing skills, and social mobilizing skill are required
- Excellent communication, persuasion, cooperation and decision-making skills are essential
- Sound knowledge of World Vision Myanmar and its operations is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge in reporting is crucial
- High level of travelling must expect
- Excellent command of Myanmar & English (All Skills)
