Your Role
As an Architect in Gensler San Francisco Sports Studio, it’s your job to lead a team to deliver unparalleled sports venues and training center projects. Leverage your industry expertise, design abilities, and technical acumen to drive projects from concept through construction. You are a seasoned architect and recognized expert in high-profile, design-driven projects and you can lead a team of highly motivated architects and designers.

What You Will Do
Lead the Technical effort of projects and ensure overall technical quality of design and delivery for sports venues and training centers
Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex design challenges
Oversee technical aspects of projects to be sure they are in concert with project scope, design, budget, client goals, consultant coordination and core requirements
Collaborate with otherleaders across the office, region, and firm to ensure the firm’s standards, guidelines, and best practices are being applied
Lead communication between the project team, clients, contractors, consultants, and building & planning department officials
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Assume mentoring of the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering, and leading by example
Your Qualifications
Registered Architect
Bachelor’s or higher in Architecture
10+ years of experience with proven leadership guiding multi-discipline teams on sports venues and training centers
LEED accreditation preferred
Proven performance in directing the delivery and construction process across all phases
Proven sensibility to the design process and ability to interpret and develop creative and technically proficient solutions to design challenges
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
Knowledge of and comfort using Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office a plus
Expert knowledge of building codes, accessibility codes & standards, building construction, and building system
Previous experience in sustainable design projects is preferable. Especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certification
*The base salary will be estimated between $118,000 - $160,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
