The Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Long-Term Appointment Professor to teach graduate-level courses in English in the field of health education.

The teaching load consists of 18 teaching credits within the Health Education concentration, as well as an administrative assignment equivalent to 3 credits, aimed at supporting student academic success and progression within the Faculty of Education.

Courses that may be included in the teaching assignment include, but are not limited to:

EDU 6532 - Enseigner en santé – partie II
EDU 5602 - Stratégies d’enseignement en santé
EDU 5661 - Conception de programmes en enseignement en santé

EDU 6530 - Interprofessionnalisme en enseignement en santé
EDU 6534 - Stage en enseignement en santé

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Health Education or in a closely related field deemed relevant.
  • Record demonstrating recent publications in the field of health professions education.
  • Experience, or demonstrated ability, to teach online or in a hybrid format.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
  • Passive knowledge of English .
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with health professionals in educational, clinical, or organizational contexts.

Assets

  • Prior experience teaching at the graduate level.
  • Participation in research or pedagogical innovation projects in health education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success and academic mentorship.

The University may consider experience or qualifications deemed equivalent to the above requirements.

Five-year contract with the equivalent of seven courses per academic year (21 credits).
