Requirements (Faculty)
B.Sc.N. Recent experience in complex nursing care. Current registration as RN or NP in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Certain clinical partners require work experience on their units in order to work as a Clinical Instructor. As a condition of employment at UOttawa, the chosen candidate must be in good standing with the site where clinical teaching is to occur. Requirements of individual hospitals/worksites are available upon request.
Course Schedule:
Clinical course on Monday and Tuesday (possibly Saturday/Sunday) from September 14th to December 8th, 2026 (except on October 12th and 13th) (subject to change and approval). Day and/or evening shifts.
Certain Clinical partners will review the list of hired candidates and to verify that they are in good standing in their setting therefore Contract will be offered only to candidates who meet condition of employment. Should this not be the case, the offer will be rescinded. Clinical course to be given either in person, on-line or a combination. We will extend the end date on the contract to allow time to complete the on-line students’ evaluation. Participation at team meetings is mandatory (dates to be determined).

Applicant cannot be teaching the same course during the same semester as they are coordinating.
