Responsibilities:

  • Execute practical tasks per the approved training plan across assigned stations/departments under supervision; maintain an accurate training/learning logbook.

  • Attend vocational school as scheduled, linking theory to practice and preparing for interim and final examinations.

  • Work safely and to standard, quality, and data‑protection requirements; use PPE and follow documented work instructions.

  • Deliver basic operational activities relevant to the trade with increasing independence, meeting agreed productivity and quality targets.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, ask for feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., problem‑solving, 5S).

  • Participate in onboarding/induction and foundational language & IT training as provided.

  • Rotate through defined stations, complete assignments, and provide concise handovers/documentation.

  • Capture training evidence and attendance, ensuring the accuracy of records for school, exams, and internal audits.

  • Support team projects/kaizen activities, e.g., collecting data, preparing simple presentations, or assisting with trials.

Qualifications:

  • School‑leaving certificate suitable for the apprenticeship per local regulations; able to enter an apprenticeship contract.

  • Motivation and learning agility with a strong interest in the selected trade/profession.

  • Foundational knowledge relevant to the trade (e.g., mathematics/physics for technical, chemistry/lab basics for scientific, or business administration for commercial tracks).

  • Digital literacy (basic MS Office; readiness to learn trade‑specific software/equipment).

  • Communication and teamwork skills; reliability, safety awareness, and professional conduct.

  • Language: local worksite language; English beneficial in FPM’s global environment.

  • Willingness to attend vocational school and work on a fixed‑term basis; shift work may be required depending on the trade/site.
