What you'll be doing:

  • Develop new deep learning-based approaches to improve capabilities of large AI Models.

  • Design and implement techniques for post training such as model alignment.

  • Transfer your research to NVIDIA’s software product teams.

  • Publish your research at conferences such as EMNLP, ACL, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, etc.

  • Partner with AI researchers in leading universities and industrial research labs.

  • Open source your models and algorithms as part of NVIDIA NeMo.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing a Ph.D. or MS (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Applied Math

  • Strong understanding of Deep Learning with applications in NLP

  • Publication and product record in NLP, Speech or Multi-modal AI

  • Ability to independently set and complete research agenda

  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with Python and Pytorch

  • Understanding of optimization theory, stochastic algorithms, and/or numerical methods.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic, product oriented and distributed team.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Good track record of leading published research projects

  • Contribution to open-source software

  • Strong C++ and/or CUDA programming skills

  • Reinforcement learning experience

  • Systems software engineering knowledge and expertise in optimizing software for computational performance

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
