Responsibilities:
- Major objectives are defined on an annual basis through goals/milestone documents.
- Learning a broad range of fundamental sealing applications including static and dynamic seals, gaskets and O-rings in addition to new potential opportunities in the eMobility and electrification specialized application areas.
- Make recommendations for quality improvements from analysis of warranty parts and data
- Report results of field investigations and assembly teardowns
- Work with associated FST and customer organizations (materials engineering; tribology and lubrication; CAE; program management; etc.)
- Support component program management meetings
- Assist in formal problem resolution with FST plant quality personnel
- Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and VA/VE
- Relate FST business or product plans to customer as needed
- Prompt reporting and follow-up of corrective actions to quality problems with Freudenberg-NOK product
- All other duties as required including travel to customer sites and FST sites up to 25%
Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing or technical equivalent)
- 2+ years practical Engineering experience in a corporate or plant environment
- Professional level English language skills both written and verbal
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 30%
- Aggressive self-starter with strong organization skills and attention to details requiring minimal supervision
- Strong engineering analytical problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude
- Project management experience a plus
