Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Manager
Overview:
An established agriculture company is seeking an experienced AP/AR Manager to oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and cash flow activities. This role partners closely with accounting leadership and operations to ensure financial accuracy, timeliness, and compliance within a multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the AP/AR function, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations
Maintain accurate customer and vendor aging schedules and cash application records
Partner with operations on billing schedules, contract terms, credit adjustments, and customer account issues
Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures around AP/AR workflows
Manage vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, credit applications, and payment terms
Monitor cash flow and support weekly cash forecasting
Resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, vendor credits, and statement reconciliations
Assist with month-end close including accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting
Prepare AP/AR reporting for leadership including collections performance and working capital metrics
Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvements
Participate in annual audits and tax documentation as needed
Provide training, leadership, and development to AP/AR support staff
Qualifications:
3+ years of progressive AP/AR experience
Solid understanding of billing, collections, vendor terms, and general accounting principles
Experience working with ERP/accounting systems; QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or ag-based platforms a plus
Strong communication skills for engaging with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
