JOB DESCRIPTION:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Regional Consistency & Efficiency: Implement, manage, and interpret compliance policies, procedures, and best practices across APAC to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
- Risk & Process Optimization: Partner with APAC affiliates to identify compliance risks, strengthen internal controls, and recommend business process improvements that enhance effectiveness and reduce complexity.
- Data-Driven Monitoring & Insights: Design, implement, and execute a comprehensive monitoring plan leveraging advanced data analytics to detect abnormal trends, identify potential compliance risks, and generate actionable insights for APAC leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Training & Awareness Programs: Develop, deliver, and coordinate impactful education and communication, training initiatives focused on the Abbott Compliance Program, Code of Business Conduct, and global/local policies to foster a strong compliance culture.
- Information Management: Organize and maintain ethics and compliance records, documents, and databases to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness.
- System Coordination: Act as the APAC coordinator for OEC system implementations, updates, and enhancements, ensuring smooth adoption and user engagement.
- Regional Support & Travel: Provide on-site support to affiliates across APAC and internationally as needed. Estimated travel: 15–20%.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree: Law, Compliance, Data Science, or Finance degree desirable
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience: Minimum five years of progressive responsibility in compliance and/or risk management roles, including substantial experience within a multinational organization.
- Industry Background: Healthcare and/or FMCG experience strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in compliance, auditing, internal control, or risk management required; experience in a similar position is a plus.
- Analytical Capability: Ability to understand and analyze complex problems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Independence & Adaptability: Able to work independently with strong adaptability in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly with the ability to develop creative content.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage relationships across functions and with external parties (e.g., suppliers).
- Critical Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills based on available information, even when situations are ambiguous or lack clear guidelines.
- Language Skills:
- English proficient, additional Asian languages are a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Notes for compiling, analyzing, and consolidating system data.
- Strong Power BI skills for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
