About the Role
The Grade 1 Molecular Scientist will support for our molecular testing services and also for development and introduction of new diagnostic tests to the laboratory in compliance with regulatory and SVHM pathology requirements. It is essential to have a good understanding in both technical and management aspects of molecular diagnostics to apply for this position. Looking for a strong team player and an excellent communicator so as to assist the Supervising Molecular Scientist in the efficient running of the Molecular laboratory.
Classifications for this position will range from RX4 - RX7 ($78,978 - $91,786per annum).

About the Molecular section of Anatomical Pathology
The molecular laboratory operates as part of the Department of Anatomical Pathology and conducts an expanding range of cancer-related molecular testing, utilising techniques including next generation sequencing, methylation and fluorescence in situ hybridization. Our laboratory is committed to providing comprehensive range of diagnostic services and is fully NATA accredited. The consultants are specialists in a wide range of histological, molecular and cytopathological investigations. They are supported by medical scientists with considerable experience in all areas of anatomical pathology.
