About the Role

As our new Analytics Engineer for customer experience data, you’ll be an integral part of a cross-functional business squad dedicated to running the Customer Experience (CX) program across the Nordics. The CX squad’s mission is to act as the voice of the customer, enabling the organization to make decisions based on customer feedback and ensuring the most satisfied customers.

In this role, you’ll help shape how customer journeys are measured and improved by transforming raw data into actionable insights. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from different business areas, external partners, and stakeholders to build and maintain analytical data products that support CX surveys, reporting, and KPI alignment across markets. Leveraging our Databricks platform, you’ll work with both structured and unstructured data using SQL, Python, and AI solutions to ensure data products are reliable, high-quality, and well-documented.

By championing best practices for building, maintaining, and optimizing data products and analytical pipelines, you will enhance our data capabilities in the Customer Analytics unit, making you a key enabler for successful analytics across the organization.

Who are you?

You bring several years (2–5+) of hands-on experience designing and developing data solutions that enable analytics, and you’re driven to make a difference with data. You create robust data products, optimize data flows, and ensure high data quality. You understand how data supports business goals and decision-making, communicate technical solutions clearly, and work collaboratively to turn customer feedback and journey data into actionable improvements that drive both business value and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

Own an end-to-end technical solutions for a specific data products (such as Customer Experience data), with the aim of providing data to internal data consumers at If, consisting of:

  • Transformation layer ownership: turning raw data into clean, testable and documented models (using e.g. dbt).
  • Semantic layer creation and maintenance: consistent metrics and business entities accessible to BI/analytics teams.
  • Data quality automation: test, alerts, lineage and documentation.
  • Apply DevOps and production best practices, including CI/CD, version control, code reviews, and performance monitoring, to ensure reliable and efficient data product delivery.
  • Translate business requirements into tangible development needs for the data products.
  • Help business understand the data products and their potential.
  • Collaborate closely with data consumers (such as analysts), internal stakeholders, and external tool vendors to ensure data products meet business needs and deliver actionable insights.

We also believe that you:

  • Have a relevant higher education background and fluency in English.
  • Have strong programming skills and proficiency in SQL and Python. Databricks experience is a plus.
  • Are skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Are curious to learn and try new technologies especially in the areas of analytics and data engineering.
