PCALT is going through a digital transformation and the goal is to become a data-driven company that unified data platform project is on going to be ready in one year. the data engineer is required for the organization to provide a better quality of data platform service during the platform implementation and future maintenance.

About the Role:

Join our global insurance leader as an Analytical Engineer! We're looking for a data-savvy individual with strong engineering skills to bridge the gap between data and business insights. You'll be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable knowledge, directly impacting business decisions, and driving value creation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Applies data extraction, transformation and loading techniques in order to connect large data sets from a variety of sources

    Creates data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data

    Develops and maintains infrastructure systems (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes) including data access APIs

    Prepares and manipulates data using Hadoop or equivalent MapReduce platform

  • Current Context:
    • Conduct in-depth business analysis using data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and data transformations within BigQuery to extract and prepare data for analysis and optimized for analytical and AI/ML use cases.
    • Build interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to communicate insights effectively.
    • Build data pipelines to support AI/ML model development, including basic model prototyping.
    • Implement data quality checks and contribute to data lineage within our data governance framework.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
    • Proactively identify and investigate data anomalies, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain data documentation and best practices for analytical work.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams globally, communicating platform updates effectively.

Job Qualification:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Python: Python skills for data manipulation and scripting.
    • SQL: Expert in SQL, with extensive experience in BigQuery for data analysis and transformation.
    • Cloud Development: Hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery.
    • Data Visualization: Build data visualization dashboard.
