Your Opportunity as the Analyst, Regulatory Compliance

Support compliant food label development for human and pet food products. Serve as a regulatory resource for our brand and R&D teams regarding applicable product regulations, ingredient usage and safety, nutrient profiles, and nutrient content and other product claims.

Location: Orrville, OH

Work Arrangements: hybrid, 35% onsite expectation

In this role you will: 

  • Provide regulatory guidance and support for the commercialization processes.

  • Analyze, interpret, and apply relevant regulations and guidance to support regulatory compliance for company products.

  • Develop compliant nutrition, ingredient, allergen and other regulated labeling information utilizing nutritional analysis software and internal systems. 

  • Review and document claim validations to substantiate product claims. 

  • Analyze technical data, interpret results, and assess regulatory implications.

  • Provide regulatory guidance and expertise in the graphic review and approval process.

  • Support development, review and/or approval of specifications, such as material and formulation specifications. 

  • Provide peer-review of the technical label information and graphics as needed.

  • Provide guidance to brand and initiative teams, including Marketing and R&D, to support regulatory compliance for company products. 

  • Support the building and/or keying of Regulatory owned data, as needed, for downstream systems and processes. Support completion and submission of applicable regulatory filings, including product registrations.

What we are looking for:

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, Food Science, or related field

  • 1+ year experience in regulatory in CPG or related industry

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work across multiple concurrent projects and priorities

  • Ability to build and maintain organizational relationships

  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and act with a sense of urgency

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

  • Nutrition related regulatory experience

  • Knowledge of FDA and AAFCO labeling regulations

  • Experience in nutritional analysis software

  • Strong mathematical background

  • Canadian food regulation experience
