Job Description
The IT Product Specialist assists in designing and delivering solutions for SAP products within the business unit, aligned with the product vision to support business value.
The SAP Global Accounting Product Specialist works closely with the Product Manager and internal stakeholders — including Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Tax, and IT teams — throughout the product development cycle. You will use your technical and functional experience to support the evolution of applications, working with Product team members and IT partners to help implement solutions that generate efficiencies and business value.
Responsibilities
1 Assist with developing product roadmap and prioritizing objectives under guidance from the Product Manager
2 Apply working knowledge of configuration, reporting, and requirements for Accounting, including different accounting principles, external reporting, internal audit, Fixed Assets, Investment projects, and Intercompany transactions
3 Perform hands-on SAP configuration in modules such as FI, Tax, AP, AR, AA, PS, and TR, including basic integration with other SAP modules
4 Help develop functional specifications for reports, interfaces, and enhancements; facilitate discussions with technical teams as needed
5 Assist in the creation and execution of testing strategies and scripts for assigned areas
6 Research and share insights or best practices to improve product functionality in collaboration with the team
7 Work closely with business functions to support and test new ideas for product development; contribute to obtaining stakeholder input
8 Help translate product strategy into actionable tasks using Agile frameworks; support identification of new ideas for business value
9 Work with Product Owner to document business requirements as Agile stories; help maintain backlog clarity for team understanding
10 Assist in refining Epics and backlog items, ensuring they are well-defined
11 Build effective working relationships with key business partners and stakeholders to understand their needs and contribute to solution development
12 Serve as a point of contact between stakeholders and technical teams during development cycles
13 Collaborate on building UAT test cases, support execution, and assist with stakeholder sign off
14 Communicate scope changes to developers and help negotiate trade-offs between scope, schedule, and quality, under supervision
